Natural England

Natural England, a body within the UK Government's Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, advises on matters regarding the natural environment in England.

While working for Natural England I acted as project co-ordinator and editor, working to expedite the publication of a 500-page specialist and technical nature conservation policy document which informs the stewardship of the New Forest, Hampshire. The New Forest Special Area of Conservation (SAC) Management Plan is a landmark publication, superseding a 2001 paper version, whose recommendations underpinned by EU legislation will influence all land management decisions for many years to come.
